October Sassa Payments due on tomorrow (5th of October)

  • Millions of South Africans will get their October SASSA payments within the next 72 hours, while others will be forced to wait longer and with more uncertainty before they receive their money.
  • The monthly payments are a lifeline for individuals who are in desperate need of financial assistance, and there are a few key things that recipients should be aware of during this week.
  • As a result of the introduction of the R350 grant, the number of people who are eligible for government help has risen by a considerable margin.
  • Because the grant of R350 is due to expire in March 2022, it is anticipated that the government would seek to extend the award’s legacy for a further two years.

As a result of the introduction of the R350 grant, the number of people who are eligible for government help has risen by a considerable margin. In spite of the fact that they were originally created as a COVID-19 “relief of distress” fund, SRD payments have remained very popular.

Because the grant of R350 is due to expire in March 2022, it is anticipated that the government would seek to extend the award’s legacy for a further two years.

The introduction of a Basic Income Grant for the poorest South Africans has been proposed; however, the cost of funding this project would be in the tens of billions of rands each year. Traditional grants, on the other hand, will continue to be available at no cost and with little difficulty for the foreseeable future.

Since SASSA payments will begin tomorrow, we’ve prepared a list of things that all recipients should be aware of before the month begins-including payment dates, availability of SASSA, and R350 grant.

Elder Persons Grants will be distributed first on Tuesday, October 5th, to those who have been awarded them.

In the next weeks, starting on Wednesday, October 6, beneficiaries of the ‘Disability Grant’ will be able to claim their benefits.

In the next weeks, starting on Wednesday, October 6, recipients of the “Disability Grant” will be able to collect their benefits.

Child Support and other awards, such as alimony, will begin to be paid on October 7th, the same day as the alimony award. The R350 award, on the other hand, will not be available on any of the days listed above for whatever reason.

If you are the recipient of more than one SASSA award, you will be paid for all of them on the day that the first one is scheduled to go live.

The receipt of your payments is not obliged to take place on the day they are made accessible; instead, you may do so at any time.
