Absa Gold Credit Card is a first-tier credit card for individuals earning R4,000.00 – R25,000.00 per month. The credit card has a maximum credit limit of R90,000.00.

The Absa Gold Credit card has a monthly account fee of R25.00 and a monthly facility fee of R30.00. Credit cardholders are eligible for a free subscription to the Absa rewards program.

Cardholders can earn up to 30% real cash back on groceries, fuel, health care, and purchases at select partner retailers through the Absa rewards program. Furthermore, depending on one’s tiering level, the rewards program offers up to 1.15% off all card purchases.

Cardholders receive preferential access to the Bidvest Airport Lounges when traveling. Furthermore, when you use your credit card to purchase airline tickets, you automatically receive R1.5 million in basic travel insurance.

On qualifying transactions, the Absa Gold Credit offers up to 57 days of interest-free credit. The monthly instalments are fixed when making repayments. Purchases made with a credit card are free of charge.

Conclusion 

The credit card provides some of the most interesting benefits for a first-tier credit card, but it has limited benefits when compared to rival tier credit cards. Some essential features are missing from the credit card, such as complimentary airport private lounge visits or free access to the Absa rewards program.
