The International Tax Review (ITR) has honoured 20 Deloitte Africa leaders in their 2023 World Tax and World Transfer Pricing guides, as announced in a recent press release. This recognition showcases the wide range of skills and experience that Deloitte’s professionals bring to the market.

ITR’s annual publications, the World Tax and Transfer Pricing guides, list and recognise the leading tax and transfer pricing practitioners and firms worldwide. The guides are unique in their classification of law firms, consultancies, and advisory groups, reflecting the diversity of the field. The 2023 edition recognised a total of 621 Deloitte professionals for their leadership in tax and transfer pricing.

Among the Deloitte Africa leaders recognised, 13 are ranked as “Highly regarded” in the World Tax guide, five as “Notable”, with two leaders ranked as “Highly regarded” in the World Transfer Pricing guide.

The highly regarded practitioners from the World Tax guide include Delia Ndlovu (Deloitte Africa Chair), Fredrick Omondi (East Africa Tax & Legal Leader), Bernadette Abbott (Business Development Leader, South Africa), and Sudasha Naidoo (Transfer Pricing Leader, South Africa), among others.

The World Tax guide also lists notable practitioners such as Itireleng Kubeka (Africa Tax & Legal Managing Director), Yomi Olugbenro (West Africa Tax & Legal Leader), and Lilian Kubebea (Tax Services, Kenya).

In the World Transfer Pricing guide, Taiwo Okunade (Nigeria) and Billy Joubert (South Africa) have been recognised as highly regarded practitioners.

Itireleng Kubeka, Deloitte Africa Tax & Legal Managing Director, expressed her delight at the recognition of Deloitte’s Africa leaders. “Congratulations to our Africa leaders for being recognised as some of the world’s leading tax and transfer pricing practitioners in both the World Tax and World Transfer Pricing guides. Inclusion in the guides is testament to Deloitte’s commitment to delivering consistent and valuable client service in Africa, and globally,” she said.

This recognition is a significant achievement for Deloitte Africa and is reflective of the firm’s consistent commitment to providing valuable tax and transfer pricing services on the continent and beyond.
