SARS Unveils Free Tax Workshops & Mobile Units Across SA

The South African Revenue Service (SARS) has announced a series of free tax workshops and mobile tax unit schedules across various provinces in the country. These workshops, taking place between April and June 2023, are designed to educate and support taxpayers in managing their tax obligations.

In the Free State, tax workshops are planned in Bethlehem, Bloemfontein, Kroonstad, and Welkom, taking place from May to June 2023. Gauteng North will host events at Ashlea Gardens and Pretoria CBD, while KwaZulu-Natal’s Durban CBD will also be hosting workshops from April to June 2023. Limpopo and Mpumalanga have scheduled workshops in April 2023, with locations in Emalahleni, Nelspruit, and Standerton.

The Northern Cape will see workshops in Kimberly from April to May 2023 and Upington from May to June 2023. The North West province has scheduled workshops in April, May, and June 2023.

In addition to the tax workshops, SARS will deploy Mobile Tax Units to various regions throughout the coming weeks. The Free State and Northern Cape will have pop-up venues for March 2023, with additional services in Limpopo in March and April 2023. Mpumalanga will offer Mobile Tax Unit services in Secunda, eMkhondo, Ermelo, Groblersdal, Siyabuswa, Middleburg, Bushbuckridge, and Elukwatini during April 2023. Pop-up service channels will be available at Ilanga Mall and Highveld Mall from April to June 2023. Lastly, Western Cape will have Mobile Tax Unit services in April 2023.
