About Prosus
Prosus is the Amsterdam- and JSE-listed international internet-and-technology arm of Naspers, holding the group's global consumer-internet assets. Its most valuable holding is a large stake in Chinese technology giant Tencent, alongside investments in online classifieds (OLX), food delivery (iFood, Delivery Hero and others), fintech (PayU), edtech and e-commerce across many emerging markets. A JSE Top 40 heavyweight and rand hedge, Prosus's value is dominated by Tencent and its portfolio of technology investments. The company has used share buybacks and portfolio management to try to narrow the discount at which it trades relative to the value of its underlying assets.
