Mark Cuban Still Bullish On Crypto Despite FTX Collapse
NBA Mark Cuban, the owner of the Dallas Mavericks, stated on Saturday that he is not abandoning cryptocurrency due to the failure of the crypto exchange FTX. He feels that while FTX's former CEO Sam Bankman-Fried may face prison time, the crypto industry still has a lot of underlying value. On Monday, Mark Cuban began unfollowing various crypto Twitter accounts, leading some to believe that he is distancing himself from the cryptocurrency.
Mark Cuban is not giving up on cryptocurrency
Despite the fact that the collapse of FTX has had an impact on investors and crypto enterprises, billionaire Mark Cuban continues to believe in cryptocurrency. Despite the bankruptcy, Mark Cuban feels there is still a lot of underlying value, as reported by TMZ Sports on November 26.
"Separate the signal from the noise," replied Cuban. "A lot of people have made a lot of mistakes, but that doesn't change the underlying value."
He is a firm believer in the bitcoin industry and stays optimistic about its prospects in the face of adversity. Mark Cuban believes the currency will not collapse as long as consumers have viable options in the bitcoin price.
Cuban believes Sam Bankman-Fried, the 30-year-old former FTX CEO, is headed for prison. He thought Sam Bankman-Fried was intelligent, but he never imagined he'd misappropriate customer funds for his own gain.
"I don't know all the details, but if I were him, I'd be afraid of going a long period in jail," Cuban remarked. I spoke with him and thought he was smart."
When asked about Elon Musk and his impact on Twitter, Cuban states that since acquiring Twitter, Elon Musk has improved the user experience. Mark Cuban began unfollowing many prominent cryptocurrency Twitter accounts on Monday, including Nansen, Uniswap, Solana, DeFi Pulse, Dapper Labs, and MetaMask. Following the failure of FTX, rumours began to circulate that he was abandoning the crypto industry. KlimaDAO, Mintable, DeFi Alliance, OpenSea, CryptoSlam, Zapper, Polygon, and Arbitrum are among the many crypto ventures in which Cuban has invested.
The cryptocurrency market is gradually recovering
As industry leaders instil trust in investors, the crypto market steadily recovers from the FTX outbreak.
Bitcoin and Ethereum have recovered, with current prices hovering around $16.5k and $1.2k, respectively. Dogecoin, XRP, BNB, and other altcoins have gained roughly 5% in the previous 24 hours.
