Ethereum price breaks out from its declining trend

The price of Ethereum has been trading within a descending trendline, indicating bearishness. The Ethereum price has changed during the last 24 hours, with the coin increasing by 6%.

As the currency gained value, it broke free from the downward channel.

The Ethereum price had dropped by more than 7% in the last week. Buyers have entered the market, allowing Ethereum to climb the charts at the time of writing. Bitcoin's price recovery has aided key altcoins in the last 24 hours.

Ethereum Price

At the time of writing, ETH was worth R24K. Buyers have helped the coin break outside of the declining trendline in the last 24 hours.

The immediate and strong resistance level held at R25K. Over the last few weeks, the altcoin has failed to break through that level.

Once the R25K barrier is breached, Ethereum may seek to trade near R30K. A drop from the R24K price level, on the other hand, will send ETH down to R19.7K and ultimately to R17.9K.

The previous Ethereum trading session was green, indicating a rise in the number of buyers.

Ethereum Price Technical Analysis

ETH was striving to recover on its chart. However, at the time of writing, the number of buyers remained modest. The technical indicators have all pointed to a bearish outlook.

The Relative Strength Index was below the half-line, indicating that there were fewer buyers than sellers.

The price of Ethereum was below the 20-SMA line, indicating minimal demand. It also signified that sellers were driving the market's price momentum.

Other indicators on ETH have also indicated that sellers were in control of the market at the time of writing. The coin's demand must rise in order for it to reach its next resistance level.

The Moving Average Convergence Divergence shows price momentum and overall price activity. At the time of writing, MACD had completed a bearish crossover and was forming red histograms.

This reading is linked to the coin's sell signal. The Chaikin Money Flow graph depicts capital inflows and outflows over a certain time period.

The CMF was below the half-line, indicating minimal capital inflows, despite an upswing in the indicator.

Despite attempts by buyers to make a return, sellers continue to dictate price activity on the one-day chart.

The R25K price level remains a difficult barrier zone for Ethereum pricing. A break over the previously noted support line will allow ETH to revisit its next price cap.

At the moment, the technical picture for Ethereum remains gloomy.
