Cardano (ADA) surpasses XRP as the sixth largest cryptocurrency
Cardano's native coin, ADA, has surpassed XRP to become the world's sixth largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization. According to CoinMarketCap, ADA now has a market capitalization of around R1.4 billion, greater than XRP.
The trading volume of ADA has surged by more than 70% in the last day.
ADA has broken through a critical resistance level of R8.98 and is now trading at R9.16, up nearly 8% in the previous 24 hours. It outpaced XRP, which gained less than 2% and is presently trading at R6.26 as of press time.

Cardano developer Input Output Suggests Hard Fork Date
After multiple delays and postponements, Cardano's developer Input Output explained on Twitter that the Vasil Hard Fork's Mainnet had to be executed and controlled securely before it went live. It goes on to list three signs that will determine when the hard fork's mainnet launch will occur.
It explained that the final Vasil node contender must create 75% of mainnet blocks. approximately 25 exchanges representing the lion's share of available liquidity must be onboarded before the upgrade can take place.
