COSATU’s Acting National spokesperson and parliamentary coordinator, Matthew Parks, has voiced serious concerns regarding the stagnant salaries of South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) employees amid soaring inflation rates.

“While we welcome the wage offer currently on the table for SABC staff, it’s imperative that it be retroactively applied from the start of the fiscal year. We’ve engaged in discussions with the Minister of Communications and the SABC board, presenting proposals aimed at salvaging the situation,” Parks asserted.
