Beats, the renowned audio brand owned by tech giant Apple, is preparing to unveil its latest offering, the Beats Studio Pro headphones. Following recent leaks, 9to5Mac has revealed comprehensive specifications for the over-ear headphones, hinting at an imminent release next month. With a reported price tag of ZAR 6,481, the Beats Studio Pro promises to deliver premium sound quality and a range of advanced features.

One of the standout features of the Beats Studio Pro headphones is their impressive battery life. Users can enjoy up to 40 hours of uninterrupted listening pleasure when active noise cancellation and transparency mode are turned off, or up to 24 hours with either of these features activated. This extended battery performance ensures that the headphones can easily accompany users throughout their day without the need for frequent recharging.

The Beats Studio Pro will also introduce support for Spatial Audio, a feature previously available with the Beats Fit Pro true wireless earbuds. When paired with compatible Apple devices, users will experience dynamic head tracking, enhancing the immersive audio experience. Additionally, personalized spatial audio further elevates the listening experience, providing a truly customized soundstage.

Notably, the Beats Studio Pro headphones will include a traditional 3.5mm headphone jack, a welcome addition for those who prefer wired listening. Accompanying the headphones in the box will be both a 3.5mm cable and a USB-C-to-USB-C charging cable. This departure from Apple’s Lightning-only approach, as seen in the AirPods Max, demonstrates Beats’ commitment to providing users with flexibility and choice.

With a price point of ZAR 6,481, the Beats Studio Pro headphones will directly compete with the aging Beats Studio 3, first introduced in 2017. The Studio 3’s outdated Micro USB charging connector will finally be replaced, addressing one of the long-overdue upgrades for the new model. According to leaked information, the Studio Pro offers several improvements over its predecessor, including an 80 percent increase in audio fidelity and 27 percent better voice isolation during calls. Additionally, the Studio Pro introduces a transparency mode, a feature absent in the Studio 3.

The Beats Studio Pro aims to cater to diverse audio preferences with its three sound modes. Users can choose from a balanced “Signature” profile, an “Entertainment” profile optimized for gaming and movies, and a “Conversation” profile ideal for calls and podcasts. While 9to5Mac reports that these sound modes will be accessible when using a USB-C cable, it is likely they will also be available when listening wirelessly or via the 3.5mm cable.

Despite Beats’ affiliation with Apple, compatibility with various Google technologies is said to be included in the Studio Pro. Features such as Fast Pair, Audio Switch, and Find My Device will be available to users outside the Apple ecosystem. Apple users, on the other hand, can expect one-touch pairing, over-the-air updates, and support for voice-activated commands like “Hey Siri” and Find My.

With the Beats Studio Pro headphones, Beats aims to deliver an upgraded and versatile audio experience to its loyal fan base. The forthcoming release of this long-awaited successor to the Studio 3 is poised to set a new standard in premium over-ear headphones. Stay tuned for the official announcement next month, when Beats is expected to unveil the Studio Pro and usher in a new era of audio excellence.
