Revealed: The most volatile cryptocurrencies

A recent analysis by online crypto casino Bombastic has unveiled the most and least stable cryptocurrencies, offering critical insights for traders, including those in South Africa. Tether (USDT) and BitTorrent emerge as the safest investments, whereas Bonk and Bitcoin top the list of the most volatile digital currencies.

This comprehensive study examined the largest 100 cryptocurrencies by market cap as listed on CoinGecko, assessing them based on year-on-year (YoY) price changes to establish a ranking system.

The Most Volatile Cryptocurrencies

Bonk (BONK) stands out as the most volatile, with a staggering 14,306% difference between its highest and lowest trading prices. It swung from $0.000000177 (approximately R0.00000332) to $0.0000255 (approximately R0.00047816).

Following closely are ORDI (ORDI), Kaspa (KAS), and Injective (INJ), each showcasing over 2,000% volatility. Conflux (CFX) and Akash Network (AKT), ranking fifth and sixth, experienced price shifts over 1,000%. Other notable mentions include BEAM (BEAM), THORChain (RUNE), Osmosis (OSMO), and Sei (SEI), with over 750% price fluctuations.

The Most Bullish Cryptocurrencies

Injective (INJ) leads the bullish pack with a 1,587% increase, soaring from $2 (approximately R37.52) to $33.77 (approximately R633.66).

Kaspa (KAS) follows with a 1,420% rise, moving from $0.006 (approximately R0.11) to $0.098 (approximately R1.84).

Bonk (BONK), despite its volatility, experienced an 813% YoY jump from $0.00000115 (approximately R0.00002158) to $0.0000105 (approximately R0.000197).

Akash Network (AKT) and other cryptocurrencies like Celestia (TIA) and Conflux (CFX) saw their prices climb over 500%. Stacks (STX), Render (RNDR), and Siacoin (SC) grew by over 300%, with Roning (RON) not far behind, marking a 267% increase from $0.6 (approximately R11.26) to $2.25 (approximately R42.21).

The Most Bearish Cryptocurrencies

GALA led the decline with a 58.3% drop from $0.053 (approximately R0.99) to $0.022 (approximately R0.41).

Flare (FLR), The Sandbox (SAND), and Axie Infinity (AXS) saw over a 40% decrease in value. Decentraland (MANA), EOS (EOS), 1000SATS, Aptos (APT), Flow (FLOW), and Algorand (ALGO) averaged more than 35% YoY reductions.

The Most Stable Cryptocurrencies

Tether (USDT) emerged as the most stable, with a minuscule 1.35% YoY change, ranging from $0.99 (approximately R18.56) to $1.009 (approximately R18.92). LEO Token (LEO) was the steadiest non-stablecoin, with a 25% variance from $3.32 (approximately R62.26) to $4.17 (approximately R78.22).

Dogecoin (DOGE), ranking tenth in safety, saw a positive 76% YoY change from its lowest to highest value, moving from $0.057 (approximately R1.07) to $0.10 (approximately R1.88).
