The Board of Sasol Limited is pleased to declare the appointment of Mr. Simon Baloyi as the President and Chief Executive Officer, effective from April 1, 2024. This transition marks a new chapter for the company, with Mr. Fleetwood Grobler, the current President and CEO, set to step down.
To ensure a seamless handover, Mr. Fleetwood Grobler will continue to serve in an executive advisor role until December 31, 2024. The Board undertook an extensive recruitment process to identify the right candidate to succeed Mr. Grobler. The chosen successor, Mr. Simon Baloyi, currently serves as the Executive Vice President, Energy Operations and Technology at Sasol. With a wealth of experience within the Sasol Group since joining in 2002, Baloyi brings proven technical and operational skills to his new role. Holding Master’s degrees in Engineering Management and Chemical Engineering, Baloyi’s background positions him well to lead Sasol into its next phase of growth.
