The company recently announced the resignation of Mr. Graham Dempster, who served as an independent non-executive director and Chairman of the Board. Mr. Mfundiso Johnson Ntabankulu (JJ) Njeke, a current independent non-executive director, has been appointed as the interim Chairman of the Board with immediate effect.
Mr. Dempster, a member of the Imperial Holdings Limited board since 2015, played a vital role in the successful unbundling and subsequent listing of Motus on the JSE in November 2018. Following the unbundling, he assumed the position of Independent non-executive Chairman of the Company. The Board expresses its utmost appreciation for Mr. Dempster’s substantial contributions to Motus, both during and after the company’s listing, and extends its gratitude for his valuable guidance provided to the Company and the Board. The Board wishes Mr. Dempster success in his future endeavors.
In light of Mr. Dempster’s resignation, the Board has appointed Mr. Mfundiso Johnson Ntabankulu (JJ) Njeke as the interim Chairman of the Board. Effective immediately, Mr. Njeke, a respected Chartered Accountant (CA) with extensive experience, will assume this critical leadership role. Since Motus’ listing on the JSE in November 2018, Mr. Njeke has served as an independent non-executive director of the company. His impressive portfolio includes directorships in both listed and non-listed companies such as Silver Unicorn Coal and Minerals Proprietary Limited (Executive Chairman), Hollard Foundation Trust (Chairman), Clicks Group Limited, Datatec Limited, and Delta Property Fund (Non-executive director). The Board wishes Mr. Njeke great success in his new interim role.
