CoreShares Index Tracker Managers (RF) Proprietary Limited, the manager of the CoreShares Preftrax ETF, has concluded the process of amending the investment policy and changing the name of the ETF. Following a successful ballot and investor approval, the amendments are set to take effect on Wednesday, 31 May 2023.

The announcement, initially released on 11 April 2023, highlighted that the ballot achieved the required 25% quorum, demonstrating a significant level of investor participation. The majority of the investors who responded to the ballot voted in favor of the amendments, confirming their support for the proposed changes.

To ensure a smooth transition and minimize the impact on investors, the effective date for the policy change was originally scheduled for 17 April 2023. However, CoreShares decided to postpone it to Wednesday, 31 May 2023. This additional time allowed the manager to sell out of the underlying portfolio, ensuring a seamless transition and reducing potential disruptions for investors.

Investors are now informed that the effective date for the amendments remains unchanged and will be Wednesday, 31 May 2023. These changes will come into effect at the beginning of business on that day.
