Microsoft Unveils AI Hub and Price Tracker for Windows 11

  • Microsoft introduces AI hub and price-tracking feature in Windows 11 Preview Build.
  • AI hub showcases curated AI apps from third-party developers and Microsoft.
  • Price-tracking feature helps users monitor app prices and make informed purchase decisions.

Microsoft has recently announced a significant update for Windows 11 Insiders, introducing an AI hub and an innovative price-tracking feature. The much-anticipated AI hub will be available in the upcoming Preview Build (25905), showcasing a selection of carefully curated AI apps from both third-party developers and Microsoft.

During Microsoft’s Build conference in May, the company initially revealed its plans for the AI hub. This hub aims to streamline the discovery of AI-powered applications, providing users with access to a range of innovative tools. While specific details about the apps included in the hub remain undisclosed, an image shared by Microsoft hints at the inclusion of AI image-editing apps like Luminar Neo, among others.

Moreover, Microsoft also demonstrated AI-generated app review summaries during the conference. Although these summaries have yet to be implemented, they are expected to appear alongside an app’s rating in the Microsoft Store. This new feature will present users with concise and informative summaries of reviews, assisting them in making informed decisions about app downloads.

The AI hub will be prominently displayed as a dedicated tab on the left side of the Microsoft Store, positioned just beneath the Movies & TV option. This convenient placement ensures easy access for users seeking to explore the realm of AI-powered applications. With the AI hub, Microsoft is taking a step towards fostering a more intelligent and efficient digital experience.

In addition to the AI hub, Windows 11 Insiders will benefit from a new price-tracking feature within the Microsoft Store. This feature enables users to monitor and track price fluctuations of apps over the past 30 days. By providing historical price data, Microsoft empowers customers to make well-informed decisions when purchasing apps, whether to take advantage of current discounts or wait for potential future sales.

Windows 11 Insiders will also rejoice in the arrival of long-awaited updates. The new Preview Build finally introduces the promised 3D emoji, adding a dash of creativity and expression to users’ interactions. Furthermore, Microsoft has resolved a bug affecting Zune players, ensuring a seamless driver installation process for these devices.

While the AI hub and price-tracking feature are currently exclusive to Windows Insiders using version 22306.1401.x.x of the Microsoft Store or higher, there is no official timeline for when these features will become available to all users. Microsoft continues to refine and enhance Windows 11 based on valuable feedback from Insiders, ensuring a smooth and user-friendly experience for its global user base.

With the integration of the AI hub and price-tracking feature, Microsoft aims to elevate the Windows 11 experience by providing users with personalized recommendations and valuable insights. As the development and testing phase progresses, Windows 11 is expected to offer a more tailored and informed app browsing and purchasing journey, driven by the power of AI.
