Choppies Enterprises Limited (BSE Share Code: CHOPPIES, JSE Share Code: CHP), a leading retail company with primary listings on the Botswana Stock Exchange and the JSE Limited, has announced a change in its Company Secretary. The Board of Directors of Choppies has accepted the resignation of DPS Consulting Services (Pty) Limited (“DPS”) and appointed BP Consulting Services (Pty) Limited (“BP”) as the new Company Secretary, effective from May 1, 2023.

The decision to change the Company Secretary aligns with the Listings Requirements of the Botswana Stock Exchange Limited, which mandates the Board to notify its shareholders of such changes. DPS Consulting Services, which had been serving as Choppies’ Company Secretary since its appointment in November 2019, will step down from its role.

Expressing gratitude for DPS’s services during its tenure, the Board of Directors of Choppies acknowledged the valuable contributions made by the outgoing Company Secretary. The Board extended its appreciation to DPS for their dedicated service and commitment to Choppies’ operations.

In accordance with the Company’s Constitution, BP Consulting Services has been appointed as the new Company Secretary of Choppies. The Board of Directors has full confidence in BP’s capabilities to fulfill the responsibilities of the role effectively. As the new Company Secretary, BP will play a crucial role in supporting Choppies’ corporate governance practices and maintaining compliance with regulatory obligations.
