Intent on making it easier and more convenient for the people and communities of Polokwane to access a wide range of banking services, Standard Bank has officially opened a new branch at 70 Landros Mare Street.
“As a strategy to bridge the current banking gap in the town, we are moving from the Polokwane Square branch to add more accessible Standard bank branches across Polokwane town. The new Polokwane Branch is positioned in an area of the town where various retailers and outlets have a presence, and which people often visit. This means that customers will be able to do their shopping and access banking, all in one place and with ease,” states Steven Mudzunga, Head of Consumer Clients, Limpopo South Coverage at Standard Bank.
Mudzunga notes that the new Standard Bank Polokwane Branch at Landros Mare Street is a fully-fledged branch, offering a comprehensive range of tailormade banking products that have been designed to meet the specific needs of its customers and to help them achieve their goals and dreams…whatever those may be.
With dedicated consultants, Standard Bank customers can visit the branch for general banking queries, as well as sign up for products like MyMo, Young Professionals, MyMoBiz, Instant Money, PureSave and Flexi Funeral Cover. They can also access business banking, home loan applications as well as credit card applications and more, whilst still making use of our App, which is the 24/7 branch in the palm of their hands.
Additionally, Mudzunga says that anyone who needs assistance with learning how to navigate the Standard Bank Mobile App or Internet Banking can go through to the branch, where friendly and helpful consultants will be available to help them understand how the digital banking works and how it can be of benefit to them.
At the beginning of September, Standard Bank opened Standard Bank Polokwane Library Gardens at Library Gardens Complex. This branch and the new one at Landros Mare Street, are among the first branches of a few more to be opened in the Polokwane town by the end of this year.
“As we await the exciting opening of the other branches in Polokwane town, our customers can continue to use our branches at City Centre, Fauna Park and at Mall of The North. There will also be an accessible Bank on Wheels at Library Gardens main parking at Corner Hans Van Rensburg and Grobler streets,” explains Mudzunga.
The branch will operate as follows:
08:30 – 15:30 Monday and Friday
09:00 – 15:30 Tuesday to Thursday
08:30 – 12:00 Saturday
