As the current legal dispute between Ripple Labs and the US Securities and Exchange Commission moves closer to trial, XRP holders have been waiting for the digital asset to be relisted, which has been suspended on numerous platforms.
The SEC’s lawsuit against Ripple Labs for allegedly selling unlicensed securities in the form of Ripple’s native token, XRP, produced volatile prices over the first few months of the court battle, despite Ripple garnering significant support from the crypto community.
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse is confident that the lengthy court battle will end in Ripple’s favour, saying during a CNBC-hosted fireside chat at the Paris Blockchain Week Summit in April that “the lawsuit has gone exceedingly well, and much better than I could have hoped when it began about 15 months ago,” but adding that “the wheels of justice move slowly.”
XRP holders and crypto advocates are increasingly optimistic that the case will be resolved favourably, with the company having won a number of victories in the last month, as Ripple Labs consistently maintains that XRP is used as an intermediary for remittance and not as a security.
The litigation, which began towards the end of 2020, led in the suspension of XRP trading on the CryptoAltum platform in December 2020; however, due to enhanced liquidity from CryptoAltum liquidity providers, all Ripple (XRP) pairings are now available for trading on their MT5 platform.
Along with a wide range of cryptocurrencies, CryptoAltum continues to customize its services as the developing cryptocurrency market alters and grows, with a team of Forex professionals that come from the world of Forex and the market’s lowest trading fees.
Traders can join up for the next-generation crypto trading platform, where they will be able to transfer cash instantaneously because trader funds are safely stored in an eWallet, eliminating the need for a time-consuming approval process.
It should be mentioned that CryptoAltum traders can deposit and withdraw in XRP from their trading accounts, and they provide up to R307 154 in free cryptocurrency conversions per client, every month.
